Our New Car

I'm still a little in shock that we actually went through with it! I didn't think we would be buying a car this soon. Brayden has always wanted a WRX and now he's got one. One night he was browsing online for Subaru's and he yells out, "This car is sweet. It's exactly what I want!" I didn't think much of it because he always sees cars he likes and then we don't do anything about it.

Next thing you know, he was texting my dad asking if he could buy it! It was in Colorado Springs and my dad said he could get it shipped to his dealership. After we paid for the shipping fees, we thought we were crazy for buying a car we haven't seen in person or driven. They told us the last person to own it took really good care of it and from all the pictures we saw, we believed them. We get to pick it up either tomorrow or Tuesday!

I've also been trying to learn how to drive stick so that I can enjoy this new car too. I hope Brayden and I can still be friendly to each other when this is all said and done! He gets frustrated after a day of a burned up clutch!

Jensyn Marie Spencer

Our new little niece was born last month! I was at the gym friday morning when I got the call that it was happening. I went up to the hospital with Karen and Britt and stayed with Bri until she had the baby at 442 pm. We were looking at the monitors outside her room. We were watching the baby's heart rate until it was no longer on the screen. When we couldn't see it anymore, we heard a cry and knew the baby had been born. It was such a cool experience. Life is so precious. Bri only pushed for about 10 minutes too! Jensyn is so sweet and cute.

Waiting for the baby!

This one is dark but it's of Brayden holding Jensyn.

St. George

Every spring break, Brayden and I head south for a few days. It's nice to get away and not have to worry about a thing. Sometimes I wish we lived there because it's so warm.

We always go on hikes when we are in St. George. There is a lot of them.
This one was a 2 mile hike round trip into a beautiful canyon.

We usually go to Zion's National Park when we are in the area and do a hike. This time we decided to be brave and go on the Angel's Landing hike which was a little over 5 miles round trip.

This sign says that since 2004, 6 people have died falling from the cliffs on this route. Comforting huh??

This photo I found online. I like it because it shows all the switch backs we had to go on all the way up. It was really hard going down. It killed your ankles and knees. The next morning, I could barely move without feeling the soreness in the legs and thighs.

Once you get to this point, there is only a chain to hold onto to get to the very top of the mountain.

We went up this :)

The view over the edge.

This one shows the trail all the way from where we started.

I look huge here but we hiked all the way to that spot.

We stayed with Brayden's grandparents. They love to go on Sunday drives. They showed us a few nice looking houses. These pictures don't do them justice. Until next time St. George!
