Friday night lights

Yesterday, Brayden and I went to the BYU game. They killed Hawaii (47 - 0). As we were getting out of the car after we parked, I put my big bag of sour patch kids into my purse. We thought it would be OK to bring them in with us. Turns out it wasn't. I had three options: 1) Throw it away 2) Walk all the way back to the car or 3) Put in on the food table and hope it's there when the game is over. So we left it at the food table as the guy said, "There is no guarantee that it will be here when you get back." I was still a little hopeful that it would be though.

At half time, we decided to go see if we could get our candy back. We decided we would walk a little bit away from the gates and stuff them in Brayden's pocket (what we should have done in the first place). They weren't there. I was a little mad that someone would steal them, knowing that it wasn't there's. On the way home, we decided to get a milkshake from In N Out. The drive up lane was taking forever and they are usually pretty fast. When we got up to pay, they said the milkshake was on them because it took so long. So I felt better about someone taking my candy because I got a free milkshake instead.

On the freeway we lucked out again. We were switching lanes and this truck came out of nowhere, and was on our butt in a second. It was kind of scary because he about ran us over. So then he switches lanes and then as soon as he does that, there is a police car flashing his lights right behind us. We thought we were being pulled over but then the cop flys past us and goes after the truck.

So even though I got my sour patch kids stolen, I got a free milkshake. It was also a plus that we didn't get pulled over!

New job

Brayden just found out that the job he has been wanting, wants him too! He will be leaving America First Credit Union to work for MarketStar. It's in Ogden so it's not a job that he would have to commute far. We are super excited for this change! It's a great blessing to have a job that is in his major before he has even graduated.

Family Hike

Fall colors are so pretty! I can't remember the leaves being this colorful in a long time. Sunday afternoon we decided to go for a hike through the pass to see all the colors up close. We are so glad we brought our camera along.

Family (:

Dirty legs and shoes

This picture makes me smile! He was lovin' the steak bone we gave him.

This picture looks so 'fallish' to me. Maybe it's the leaves in the water and the color of Bear.

On the way home we saw two deer walk across the road. They have huge ears!

These last pictures don't have anything to do with my post, but I thought they turned out kinda cool looking. We were seeing what other features our camera could do and shot some random pictures of our rings.

I love fall! Bring on the scary movie nights, corn mazes, carmel apples, and Halloween!

He thinks he's famous

There has been a lot of smoke in the air these last few days from the Idaho fires. The other night I was cooking dinner when Brayden came home from work and ran to the back of the house. I asked what he was doing and he was getting the camera. Running out the door he said, " I got to go take this picture!"  I just laughed and wondered what he could be taking a picture of. He came back about five minutes later with this picture:

The smokey skies made for a cool sunset, this picture doesn't do it justice, but still a pretty good picture. So that night Brayden got a couple texts from his friends saying that they saw his picture on the news. He loved his picture so much that he sent it in to KSL weather and they showed it that very night. He thinks he is famous now haha

Just for fun, here is a cute picture of my hubby and me (: The last summer picture we will take this year.

Aunt Ali and Uncle Brayden

My cute sister-in-law Bri is pregnant! Rawson and her told us a few sunday's ago. They put an invitation under all our dinner plates so that when we passed our plates for food, we would see them. For some reason, we didnt pass plates this sunday so we didn't see it until after dinner. The invitation said:

You're Invited!
What: The birth of Bri and Rawson's baby!
When: March 3rd
Where: McKay Dee Hospital

We are so excited for them. She has a feeling it's a girl. I had a dream that they told us it was a girl and she said she dreams it's a girl too.

She had her appointment today and found out!!

They are...

Photo Contest

KSL news does a weekly photo contest. People submit their pictures they take of nature and weather each month. Every month there are 4 weekly winners and at the end of the month people vote for their favorite picture.

A few days ago, Brayden suggested that we submit one of our pictures from Park City just for fun. Last night we received an email saying that our picture had won for this week and that it will be on the 10 o'clock news that night. We were shocked that it was chosen out of all the other pictures because there are some pretty good ones.

At the end of September you can vote for your favorite. If we win the photo of the month, we will get that picture put into a calendar for 2013 and a KSL prize pack.

I really hope we win and can get enough people to vote for us! You can vote at the end of September here

2 Year Anniversary

Can I just say I love going to Park City and Midway this time of year? It is still pretty warm during the day but looks like fall. It got a little bit chilly at night but it's so pretty there. Brayden and I stayed at the Marriott in Park City the first night. We met up with Bri and Rawson to get dinner and dessert; they were up in Park City as well celebrating their 1st anniversary.

Leaves are already changing here and they are so pretty!

Had to get a candy apple at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Bri has the same hair color as me now :)

We had gone up to ride the Alpine Coaster and slide but ended up not because if it starts to rain, they shut down the rides and you don't get a refund. When we were walking to our car after we ate our candy apples, it started to rain and thunder. We were glad we made the right choice and didn't have to get rained out.

Sunday morning we got to ride the Alpine Coaster. It was so much fun. We then headed to a nice bike trail to ride our bikes. After some lunch, we headed to Midway.

This is our second time going to Johnson Mill. The first time was our honeymoon. It is very relaxing there and also has comfy beds.

It's fun to ride the paddle boat and canoe.

As we were walking up the little trail they had, we saw two deer. By the time we got our camera out, the other one ran away. I was glad we were able to get a picture of the one deer.

You can walk to your room from the outside which is nice.

We went up to Soldier Hallow Sunday to see the Sheep Dog Competitions and they were selling all these Huskies. I wanted one so bad!

This one made me laugh cause it was so fluffy.

When we got back we took the paddle boat out.

Monday Morning we took the bikes out again.

Got some pretty shots along the way.

Leaving the Johnson Mill. Until next year...

This picture makes me laugh. We went to Brayden's parents' house to drop off their explorer. We had borrowed it so that we could take bikes up with us. I took this picture of their cat Dax right as he was pulling a face.

All these pictures were taken with our new camera that we got. These pics look a lot better than our cell phone pics!
